The castle of Randan, built in 1204, was restored and increased of 1821 with 1831par the sister of Louis Philippe, the Princess Adelaide of Orleans. In the night of the 25 at July 26, 1925, the castle is devastated by a fire, leaving only ruins which were not raised since.

Visits: the house of the inspector, the wing of the kitchens, the restored terrace, the vault, commun runs, the park,…
The gardens and the park, of a surface of 100 hectares, represent one of most important landscape creations of first half of the XIXe century. They combine the Frenchwoman influences, English and Italian, perpetuate the tradition of the landscape garden of the XVIIIe century and announce the evolutions of Fart of the gardens under the Second Empire.

Opening of 40 hectares additional to the walk in 2009.

Dates and schedules of the visits:


Park: from May 30 to June 30 from 14 to 19 h.
From July 1 to August 31 from 10 to 19 h.
1st at September 30 of 2 p.m. to 18 h.


Last departure of vist one hour before the closing of the Field.
Site accessible to the people with reduced mobility or handicapped.

Tariffs


4 € prices including the access to the Field and the exposure, the free or guided visits.

3 € for the groups starting from 10 people.

Free for less than 16 years and the adgérents of association
'Les Amis de Domaine Royal de Randan".
