The Pesteils castle |
|
The Pesteils
castle stands on an amazing spot, on a rocky headland overlooking the Cère
valley. Owned
by the same family since the thirteenth century, Pesteils has undergone a number
of architectural transformations with exceptional harmony throughout the centuries.
The fifteenth
century frescos, the eighteenth century painted ceilings and furniture, and the
tapestries evoke the illustrious past of this seigniorial castle. The
forty-meter high dungeon gives the opportunity to benefit from an unforgettable
view on the Cantal mounts. The
park and the terrace offer one of the most beautiful panoramas in the area.
