The La Vigne castel |

The castle of La Vigne is one of the stakes of the intrigue where Jolanne de Valcourt alias RANI is the principal heroin in the comic strip of the Belgian editor “Lombard”, whose author is the famous Jean Van Hamme.
Appeared in December 2009
|
La Vigne was at first a Merovingian castle, then
a medieval fortress and was rebuilt in the XVth century by the Lords of Scorailles
overlooking an imposing panoramic view. The chateau consists of a main building
and towers, the whole construction topped by a rampart-walk over machicolation.
From the period decors the visitor will see evidence of the Princess of Condé's
visit and Jean-Jacques Rousseau 's stay in 1767.
The chateau is still inhabited and furnished, and is living evidence of the rich
past of Upper Auvergne. During the visit you can admire a collection of 3500 model
cars depicting the history of the automobile, and ancient toys such as many models of planes and more than 700 dolls coming from 70 countries of the world.
